Very unlikely scenario. How did the cold-hearted attorney grow a heart so quickly? Curly Sue was not that endearing as a character to make Doris have such a quick change of heart. Maybe if there was some sort of backstory where Doris saw her own troubled upbringing in Curly Sue… I just couldn’t see past the improbability of it all to let this movie take ahold of my heart.
