Very watchable! And perhaps even underrated!
Unlike what I had heard, the acting in this movie is actually fine! Javier Bardem takes a more angled approach to portraying the legendary Colombian drug lord, giving us a more vicious Escobar.
The most apparent, and perhaps only, problem is that Pablo Escobar’s sheer complexity and gravity are so colossal that, when combined with Bardems naturally commanding screen presence (even more toned down than normal), it completely overshadows the rest of the characters.…
