first 1/3 kinda had a vibe going like they were nailing the horror mixed w comedy feel, and the opening scene was so good! but then as it went on what happened to centering the monkey?!?? why so much ridiculous fringe guy?? 👎👎

i am so 50/50 bc on one hand the body horror and the concept were done sooooo well - like i’m so desensitised to gore and disturbing shit in movies but this DID make me scream and look away. The carrie-esque scene was lowkey lit asf.
But on the other hand it felt like such a let downnn. I think it would have been better if they leaned into the horror and didn't try to put such a feminist angle…
