  I know this isn’t a novel critique, but I can’t understand why—in 2017—two straight men were chosen for these roles.

  Unlike many other (lesser known) queer coming of age films, this one didn’t really make me feel much.

  Also not sure how amped I’d be on my eleventh grader hooking up with a PhD student, but whatever.
