I don't think this film gets enough credit.

When I first watched this film in 2012 it had already become kind of a cult hit, but now it's not a film I see discussed as much as it should be.

This film is great. From the action to the acting to the soundtrack to the set pieces. All of it screams creativity and resourcefulness. Karl Urban does his best Clint Eastwood as he unapologetically owns the role of Dredd. The plot involves enough intrigue to keep viewers on their toes and doesn't shy away from its source material.

This rating is for the Philip Glass’s opera version of the film.

When I first watched this film, I watched the normal edition and thought it was an overall great film, but left me wanting more when it came to the narrative and character motivation. I loved the scenery, the atmosphere, and the overall style of the film, but I didn't feel connected with the characters. Especially Belle, who came across as overtly stoic and distant.

When people ask me why 'Mary Poppins' is my favorite film of all time, I don't struggle with the simple answer of: "It gives me every gratification a film could give me.", but I'm rather stalled by giving a more intricate, detailed response.

It could be Julie Andrew's pitch-perfect portrayal of Mary, who's prowess on screen has cemented the film, and Walt Disney's eye for talent, as indisputable greatness. Her air of confidence, and unapologetic nature, make her performance stand out even more. Andrew's is able to balance the stern, other-wordly Poppins with a kind, warm-hearted

Perhaps the single greatest genre deconstruction in the history of any medium. 'Unforgiven' shows that Eastwood knows the western genre inside and out, and reveres it. Only someone that has an inate passion for the western would be able to craft such a perfect bookend to it. The acting is all top notch, the storytelling and pacing is beautiful, and the way the film flips the script on nearly every major trope you can think of is handled with an elegance and complete comprehension.
