Longlegs 2024
I was lucky enough to see this at the Music Box’s Bloody Disgusting screening on June 27th. The crowd was awesome with a ridiculously long line of feverish movie goers down Southport, around Waveland, and onward east. The Music Box killed it as always. Just a great event.

The Bikeriders 2023
Director, Jeff Nichols, continues his run of focusing acute and calm observations of characters while menace simmers on low all around them…until it threatens to overrun them. Shot beautifully to evoke the the photo book it’s based on, The Bikeriders lovingly leans into its influences, while it simultaneously subverts our expectations of what a muscular film about a motorcycle club can be.
