  The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 2023

  This blew, chunks. In a bad way. The only thing that kept me going was the ability to express my distress to someone while watching it. It felt like 80 percent of the dialogue was exposition and as a result none of the characters were more than a 2d cutout. The biggest positive I can pull out of it is Viola Davis chewing up the scenery. Genuinely would rather have just watched her character in her lab the whole time…

  I really liked it. Like any Ghibli film it's beautiful and tugs at the heart strings. Maybe a fav Ghibli film

  Edit: I went to watch it again just to see if it has the sauce. It's drenched. I can't wait to watch this movie 20 more times and get new things from it every time. I've started the first painting I want to do from it.
