Dune 1984
This adaptation refuses to be held back by the filmmaking technology of its time and that’s something pretty cool imo. So much creative filmmaking here. Though it’s not as good of a movie as the newer Dune films, I would argue it’s a better adaptation of the books, and it fully embraces much of the weirdness that is the original novel. It also takes a more objective perspective than the newer films, not getting too caught up in the perspective of Paul.

Borderlands 2024
Absolutely abysmal writing. Not a single funny or original joke in the entire script. Decent CGI in some parts and yet some pretty bad green screens and VFX in others. Awful casting. A poor representation of the games and their characters.

Rule Breakers 2025
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Problem arises: instantly gets fixed within seconds with 0 tension, real stakes or conflict. Repeat 1000 times. That’s this movie. They gloss over the real life struggles of these women losing their families to suicide bombings, getting kicked out of their homes and struggling to get visas, and instead focus way more time on made up, low stakes conflicts like a piece of the robot breaking and needing to weld it back together. They don’t even show the creation process or development of any robots past the first one so we have no attachment to wether it succeeds or not.
