We need Michael Gracey to make as many musicals as possible. The visuals and music are fantastic. Robbie’s singing is unsurprising really great. The CGI for monkey Robbie is exceptional. I like that this focuses on Robbie wanting to be better and how he doesn’t feels evolved. We had Cocaine Bear and now Cocaine Monkey. When are we getting Cocaine Lion?

I don’t just want Steven Spielberg to make another horror movie, I NEED him to make another horror movie. It would be so raw and visually incredible if this movie and Jaws are anything to go by.
They could have gone really far with a post apocalyptic rock opera but they sadly don’t. The performances are all solid and the songs are good. They should have leaned more toward making this an epic, Furiosa style. The neon cinematography is sweet and there are some amazing visuals.
The story just doesn’t reach the heights I was hoping. A more rock focused score would have helped with a more sprawling story than just staying at D’s junkyard. Make the music feel more like battles. Scott Pilgrim style effects would have been cool during the musical scenes.

An almost perfect episode! NPH as the Toymaker is an excellent villain. I love the references to the previous companions. The 14th Doctor’s ending is perfect for him and I’m excited for the 15th. I like that Donna gets to beat up some puppets.
