Poltergeist II: The Other Side 1986
My favorite part was them fighting with their insurance company about the claims being denied on the house that disappeared into another dimension.
Last seen in the 80s and had no memory of it except for the tequila worm. Looks fantastic, the fx hold up, the cast is great, and it’s a brisk 90 minutes: Would probably be better regarded if it wasn’t a sequel to a stone cold masterpiece.
Was it me or did the kid playing Robbie look a way older and quite different in certain scenes? They must have caught him during a growth spurt.

I paused this movie halfway through and checked Letterboxd to make sure I was watching the right movie. The movie I read so many good reviews of. I was. Huh.
The first half is like Before Sunrise, but if the characters were completely inarticulate and didn't have opinions on art, love, society, philosophy, music, sex, or the world at large.
The second half picks up a little bit and generates some interest, but then the ending comes and trashes all the growth that we thought the characters were experiencing. Shithouse, indeed.
