The Shining 1980
I honestly thought I was being pranked for the first 20-30m of this. Beautifully shot but the score assaults your ears for the entire runtime. Danny is comically bad, especially the "Tony" voice. Wendy is weak and simpering compared to her book character. The saving grace is Nicholson's Jack: unhinged and terrifying.
