Movie wise, good story that is an homage to classic horror sci-fi movies. Pacing benefited from each section of the story feeling like connected shorts, tho didn't suffer from the disjointed feeling of Moana 2 being episodes smashed together.
Looney Tunes vibes - very obviously by people who grew up loving the originals. A lot of obvious moments of them seeing what unhinged thing they could get past the censors.
Anthony Mackie was fantastic, but I thought they made him too weak in his melee fights. Loved the chemistry between Sam and Joaquin. Not enough meaningful woman characters, the security guard lady screamed cut storylines. Harrison Ford was great.
CGI was better than recent marvel movies but there's was one scene that was god awful green screen.
A bold move for Disney to tackle the US and Guantanamo Bay. The United States of Auradon (USA) has an island prison where they send everyone they've deemed a villain, most with no trial.
What follows is an exploration into the racism and classism of Auradon. When leaving the island, the "evil" kids believe the limo was a set up to a murder plot, to which the driver is annoyed about their terror. The daughter of Sleeping Beauty, upon meeting the "evil" kids, gushes about her love of blood purity.
The remaining story is full of cringe, crime, and frankly incredible work by Kenny Ortega

You gotta love watching Emily Blunt killing Tom Cruise repeatedly. It's *chef's kiss*
