Hard not to hooked into the performances in this movie. Unbelievable cast that delivers every line with insane depth.
Still can't five star this off the score alone though. Has not aged well. Sounds like a TV sitcom hospital drama between scenes. Woof.
Third watch is still a good time. This viewing had me taking more appreciation of the little details - the directing, the subtle characteristics of the jurors, etc.
Side note: does anyone know how many cartons were smoked up during the production of this film? It has to be a record.
3 straight hours of pure engagement. Maybe Nolan's best work. As he sheds the (now) hokey layers of what initially started his career, he's retaining his best strengths.
This was some super fresh horror.
When I first really fell in love with movies, it was horror that grabbed my attention the most. Therefore, I've been really critical of this genre ever since. There's so much of it produced every year that you really do need to machete your way through the crap to find the good stuff. Longlegs is the good stuff.
On top of the wonderfully crafted villain this film created, it had some strong influential vibes…
