  It’s wonderful to see any film breaking past the typical cradle to the grave form of biopics and instead mess with the Sheila structure. The problem with this style was an abundant mess and overuse of CGI when focusing on later stage Tom Parker and the International Hotel. It does not add anything to the film including style, it just seems like an afterthought because they did not feel the film narratively held together well enough.

  Let's the actors convey emotions through facial features and eye looks rather than dialouge for a lot of and that's all that's needed for certain points in film, the expression can say more than words.
