Starts out reminiscent of a David Cronenberg psychological body horror, then at the end side steps into a Troma film, pirouettes into a Sam Rami movie, and finally sticks the landing as a David Lynch production.

Better Man 2024
Ok, right at the top I’m going to say the VFX were excellent. WETA has plenty of experience with apes, so no surprise there. A+ work.
Narratively, I saw absolutely no reason for the main character to be a hideously expensive fully CG character. You could replace him with a human actor and make exactly 0 changes to the film. I’m confused with this choice.
That being said, I did enjoy some of the dance set pieces, cinematography, and acting.

Nothing but Trouble 1991
I worked on the effects at the end of this film where the building collapsed. While we were in the middle of production, we kept hearing rumors that they might scrap the sequence so they would be able to do a sequel. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That’s the funniest part about this movie.
