A product of its time for sure. I’ve been on a Tomb Raider kick as of late and wanted to rewatch this since I hadn’t seen it since I was a kid. I now remember why. Unlike A Goofy Movie, this movie shares the same problem the original Space Jam faces: it was better in my head and in my memory bank.
I at least have to commend Angelina Jolie for giving it her best shot with what she was presented.
Definitely a case of more style than substance. The Three Caballeros is an iconic trio nevertheless and what they were able to do with this was astonishing considering the timeframe when this was made.
While not perfect, Ahsoka is basically a continuation of Rebels and I love it for that. As per usual, Rosario Dawson is very good in the potrayal as the lead.
I think this show has some very nice callbacks to not only Rebels but other stuff present in the Star Wars lore. I am interested to see what they dive into next as it pertains to the Rebels crew.
The standouts besides Dawson are Ray Stevenson as Baylan and Natasha…
