Not much to say here, just another absolute BANGER from Bong! I will say the ending didn’t quite live up to the rest of the film for me, knocking the film down from being truly amazing to being pretty great. Still though, the film is absolutely hilarious from start to finish, it’s a genius and fascinatingly well-made satire, and Robert Pattinson is absolutely PHENOMENAL throughout, delivering maybe the best performance I’ve seen from him. I’ve gotta rewatch this as soon as possible.

As someone who’s never seen a Planet of the Apes movie before, I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the VFX in this! Like I don’t even understand how they pull that off. However…I was severely disappointed by just about every other aspect of the film. At least its sole Oscar nomination (Best Visual Effects, of course) was incredibly well deserved. Still rooting for Dune though, and Dune is still gonna win no doubt.

“This is somebody’s life. We can’t decide in five minutes.”

What can I possibly say that hasn’t already been said? Sidney Lumet’s masterpiece that is 12 Angry Men is easily one of the greatest movies I’ve ever seen. Throughout the entire movie I was trying to find a singular flaw, even just the tiniest nitpick, but I couldn’t think of a single one. Is this the best screenplay ever written?? It’s honestly very likely. Between the brilliant and iconic dialogue,…

Hella underrated film. Jeremy Strong and Sebastian Stan both genuinely deliver a couple of the best performances of the year here; just utterly haunting and transformative in every way. So many of those scenes are seared into my brain now. Genuinely like a horror movie that’s so messed up in a grossly mesmerizing way, like you’re simultaneously repulsed and unable to look away.
