I loved this film at the cinema and all these years on, after multiple viewings, it still holds up. Astounding score by Mark Isham. Some incredible performances from Tommy Lee Jones, Charlize Theron and Susan Sarandon. Bar one or two moments of overt symbolism, it goes about its bleak business in understated fashion and is all the more powerful for it. Deserves way more love.

B&B Merry 2022
Netflix said “no material likely to offend” and I can’t help but agree. Pound for pound, the greatest B&B Christmas film ever. A triumph of vision, and of winter scarves. Absolutely horrendous and yet, somehow, a shining light in the void. Bold, but not bold enough, fantastic yet shite. Christmas has truly come early. There is no death, only fake snow.
