Really enjoyed this even if the ending didn’t land for me. Everything else was great though and the family felt authentic. David in his little boots 🥾 Anne was such a caring big sister. Grandma didn’t mind drinking piss for a joke…her character added a lot to the film by having an interesting and different dynamic with the rest of the family. The parents obviously conflicted but looks like they made it work in the end. 80s, Korean family and rural Arkansas make for a good mix and tone.

Beautiful film. Clarence Maclin was the standout performance although everyone was excellent. Had very little context going in which I think helped the ending have quite the impact it did on me. I had absolutely no idea that not only was it based on a real story, but that the people I was watching on screen were also people from the actual RTA program. Just made everything feel so much more real. May have cried a bit. Everyone should watch this.

I can understand the almost universal acclaim for this. Masterful storytelling and characters you connect with straight away. Visually stunning and another truly exceptional score.

Love Jodie Foster. Getting cum thrown at you in starting few minutes is a pretty rough start.
Some of the scenes feel almost like a play. Love how the scenes between Clarice and Hannibal are written and the intensity of the scenes.
Enjoy films like this but when they’re over a little bit of me is happy I can just relax 😅
