As someone who grew up idolizing Whitney and her music, I can sit down and watch any of her biopics and documentaries. Getting to see the behind the scenes moments of her professional and personal life was an honor to witness. Watching this while also getting to see the 2022 I Wanna Dance With Somebody biopic goes hand and hand, filling in the blanks and in between moments of what I didn't get to see in the 2022 film. This one had me on the edge of my seat. Seeing the sequel definitely gave me a different experience than the first. It's kind of one of those phrases, "You can never beat the first movie". Loved seeing the backstory behind Mufasa and Scar's relationship, and how Scar even got his name. It's another reminder that villains like Scar became 'villains' because other people hurt them. Seeing the softness of Scar and how he loved Mufasa so much as a brother was really moving to see.
