Honestly, pretty decent. Nice to see a Godzilla movie move the needle back toward "Godzilla as Metaphor" and away from "Godzilla as Pro Wrestler." No matter how much emotional and cultural weight you give this franchise, though, it's ultimately still about a big goofy monster stomping around.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters 2019
It may not be “good,” but it’s honestly a pretty accurate 21st-century rendition of a classic Showa-era Godzilla brawl movie. So yeah, not winning any Oscars, but if you like Godzilla in the first place you’ll probably have a good time.
