  I enjoyed watching this, but probably the thing that stayed with me the most was the found footage filmmaking. Not for the shaking cam style, but for how they're able to not show everything, cut to later with no explanation, and let the audience fill in the pieces at parts. As with Blaire Witch, it's a gimmick that takes an otherwise by-the-numbers movie to another level.

  delightful shenanigans. I didn't know anything about this movie and it sucked me right in.

  The B&W makes it feel like you're watching something older, from the 40s, but the humor and cinematography feels so contemporary.

  Love the rhythm of the lines. How you can make a joke out of how many times a woman uses the phrase "bone structure" in the same monologue.

  Lots of mixed reviews from friends! Was surprised this came and went.

  Because when I finally watched it at home, I had a great time

  I liked how everybody's just doing what they gotta do to survive in this movie, and then main viking dude is hacking his way to revenge, all driven by some psychedelic bonding he shared with his dad as a kid. Love it when artsy directors make a seemingly by-the-numbers genre piece, because the occasional choices…
