A great spin on the possession storyline using new age spirituality as the vehicle. Fantastic use of physical location, graphics/social media and a mighty cast. Honestly, terrifying and great.

We love an artistic rendition by a man who has such a precise vision as Mr. Bob Eggys. 😍 I would write all day in my deadjournal about this 20 years ago. Lily Rose (Depp), Nicholas Hault, and Willem Dafoe as the nosferatu version of Van Helsing! It’s so naughty, naughty 😈 all around a perfect 10/10 Gothic Horror, the new standard tyvm.

Watched this on Halloween night, I was nervous about the potential abuse depictions but this movie was so scary otherwise, and the story so harrowing! The triggering parts are not as bad as I thought (dtill sad, but not gratuitous and serves a purpose), there’s no SA (yay!) if that holds anyone back. I love a movie that hasn’t been touched by the American model of network-laden notes and this one went beyond delivering. Great story with 2 female protagonists, performances and sfx are top notch too.
