  My brain is tired but a good tired. I’ve seen quite a few movies set in Jim Crow South but I’ve never seen one tackle this subject matter, in this way, and it’s stunning.  

  I was fighting against my social media attention span but it was worth it. A lovely, heavy, imaginative, and heartbreaking film about the heights and depths of what we’re capable of a country.

  It’s taken me 37 years + 5 years of therapy to make peace with my teenage self. So it feels like a rare privilege to watch something on screen you resonate with so deeply. With all that in mind, I’ll refrain from turning this into a journal entry.
