The Outrun 2024
Really well done film, feel so much was packed into it but it still felt like a slow paced film, really good editing and another beauty from Saorise Ronan. Was delicate and felt very real. Loved how it explored ideas as pure as the ocean, cultural heritage and spirituality, to very human issues like dysfunctional parenting, modern day relationships and alcoholism. Well written and felt very relevant to our times. Also shoutout RSPB, my mum will be happy!

Nights of Cabiria 1957
Obviously a classic and I’m sure cinephiles have analysed every frame and will claim it to be the bestest cinema. And it kinda is, her performance is one of the best I’ve seen if not the. How this film produces such a complex character in such short time is pretty amazing. And all the other characters also feel real and important n you feel you understand each of them. Such a variety and mix of experiences and expressions with all its fleeting moments containing so much emotion. Horrible end but the last scene is hopeful and really true to her character. Yea pretty great
