I wasn't expecting a lot but this somehow still under-delivered. I'm a fan of practical effects but these werewolves just looked goofy, lol. The action was rather bland. I did like the concept though, and I love that some of the werewolves kept their close on so you had like a metalhead werewolf and shit like that, lol. What was really odd to me though was it felt like Frank Grillo was phoning it in, but he's one of the…

I was so confused about whether I'd seen this or not because I was conflating it with Wolfwalkers. They're so close to being the same movie I thought maybe they were a sequel.

Anyway I thought this was pretty decent, if I hadn't had seen Wolfwalkers first I might've enjoyed it more, it didn't feel as novel after watching a superior version of it. If you've seen neither though I do recommend them both, they're beautiful, and idiosyncratic in their aesthetic and tone, and both very emotional. Song of the Sea is cool too. I look forward to whatever Tom Moore does next.

I feel like this is one of those movies that lovers of cinema convince themselves they love because they know they're supposed to like it and they don't want to feel uncultured for not getting it. This movie offers nothing of actual substance. Even as a mood piece it just was not that interesting to me. There's no story to invest in, the characters are 1 dimensional, it does get some points for style but even visually its hit or…

I have not read the manga this is based on, but after seeing the trailer months ago I was really eager to see this, the movie is very beautiful and I love the style and atmosphere, but after watching it I was like "Okay... what was that about?"

I watched a youtube video to see if I could learn a little more about the intention, and apparently this film leaves out a lot of context and narrative. This adaptation apparently…
