One of the better offerings in the franchise in which the film takes a more sinister approach where they show more of the supernatural elements as opposed to the more fantasy leaning, bigger budget films in the Hellboy universe. It was spooky and enjoyable.

This film oozes style from the wardrobe through set design, music and use of saturated colors and lighting. This movie is about community and despite differences, finding acceptance and safety within. The intimacy created by the camera work places you firmly as a member of the community and you instantly feel a connection to the environment and the people within it. I loved this movie.
