In the Mood for Love is a sublime film, both in its form and in its content.
On the form it is just huge. The plans are systematically of great simplicity and beauty, an incredible research. The director does a quite hallucinating job, rendering, notably, wonderfully the claustrophobia of the characters, and offering a show of a lyricism and a subtlety magnificent. Amadeus is undoubtedly possible the greatest biobic made to date in the cinema on the life of Mozart everything is sublime reconstruction costumes sets staging photography and so on the actors are all perfect.
