    Being There

Being there is a dark and satirical social commentary veiled as a light-hearted commentary.

When I was watching this film, I couldn't help thinking this was more prevalent in 2018. Switch out TVs with iPhones and end with Chance becoming president and you've got yourself an Oscar winner.

I cannot sing enough praises about Coco. I watched this movie way later than I should have because I was just not interested in the premise. What could I have in common with a young boy from Mexico who wants to pursue his musical dreams?

As it turns out, a lot.

I have been obsessing over this movie for the past few weeks and I have finally sat down and figured out why:

The score is incredible. Michael Giacchino never…
