  I wish I had something like this to watch when I was a kid. For me, my race, nationality and culture are all kind of complicated and intertwined - it’s only in recent years that I’ve started reflecting on it and trying to figure out what I identify as. It’s nice to see a documentary where kids and adults are talking about their own experiences. I’d love to see more movies with mixed race stories!

  First time watching this and I thought I’d like it more, but I feel really conflicted about this movie. On hand one, the story is good, some of the dialogue is so iconic (“EVERYONE!”) and the acting is brilliant (love the performances of Portman, Reno and Oldman). But the way Portman’s character is overly sexualised just felt really uncomfortable and creepy to me.
