I thought two thirds throughout the film it was going to be a cathartic experience for both Eva and Charlotte but it ended up being just plain and extremely hurtful honesty that didn't help either anywhere. The movie clearly picks Eva's side but not completely, Charlotte's behaviour isn't explained away by her merely being narcisstic, we're not supposed to understand each one's behavior to the bottom, as there simply isn't a bottom.
