For what it aims to do, incredible film. Hans Zimmer on sound and Nolan Directing is an S tier combo.
I understand the purpose is not to tell of individual characters but rather of the effort and resilience of a nation, but I wish I had more attachment to the characters like I did in BoB to really make this an elite movie. Hated it the first time I watched because of this, but as I continue to rewatch it bothers me less and less.

Straight up trash.
1) The musical scenes completely killed any momentum the movie may have built up (which was very very little). “Man to woman penis to Vagina” in sing songy voice - are you serious.
2) Manitas/Emilia lies to his wife and kids about their existence, then destroys the whole family. Now their kids are orphans. But okay let’s glorify this person with a parade as they uncovered their own murders.

How do you even figure out you’re good at driving like that.
Dude wears the same outfit every day after committing a crime is wild.
A little too musical for my taste at times (e.g., dancing around the apartment with the blind dude). Also the villains writing was pretty bad.
