Lynch: A History 2019
Phenomenal documentary. Using Marshawn Lynch as a narrative tool to examine race and performance through incredible, artful juxtapositions. The only thing I can think to liken it to is an Adam Curtis documentary — but honestly I think the lack of narration, the way Shields stitches the story together through nothing but media clips, makes for a much more rewarding experience. As entertaining as it is educational, and a true act of public service that will stick with me for a long time.
