Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 2001
He’s a wizard but he doesn’t cast a single spell in this film besides picking up a wand and giving himself an inexplicable blow dry effect. He does turn a troll into a kebab with his magic stick, however, and this is the most wholesome film in existence.

Man, this makes you realise that we have to sit through some rubbish. Hold anything in the same genre up to this and it’s just blown out of the water (urgh).
Phenomenal animation, genuine emotional beats, compelling and complex characters making awful and understandable decisions.
Hampered by everyone being the son or daughter of a previous character, a la Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Star Wars, but I’ll get over it.
