  I haven’t seen the original(2022), so I can’t compare the American version to the foreign one. 

  HOWEEEEVER, here’s my take on the American version:

  - Blumhouse really surprised me with this one.

  - James McAvoy is incredibly charismatic.

  - It’s unapologetically brutal, with an unsettling evil rather than relying on jump scares and gore (though there’s still plenty of gore, don’t get me wrong).

Although I typically do not enjoy musicals, the musical elements in this film felt natural and integral to the story. The cinematography is breathtaking, capturing each moment with artistry and elegance. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling deliver extraordinary performances, truly embodying their characters. The ending, where two people who were once deeply connected become strangers, is heart-wrenchingly poignant.
