The Marvels 2023
I regret not seeing this one in theaters. The three stars of the movie had so much chemistry it was a joy to watch. Genuinely hilarious too I was geeking at several points. Ending was a little weak but it sets up lots of fun stuff moving forward. Just a great “fun” movie.

Wow, this movie is awful.
Despite being very similar to the original, this adaptation manages to lose all of the charm that made the first movie so great. I never realized how hard Gene Wilder carried the original movie, and I totally believe Johnny Depp is more than capable of filling those shoes, but boy did Tim Burton’s vision for this character absolutely ruin Willy Wonka. The Menu 2022
This was a great movie. Interesting concept with a well thought out and layered plot. Great cinematography and star studded cast. Ralph Fiennes in particular stole the show, his performance was outstanding. Even though I will always see him as Lord Voldemort, he still made the movie for me. This movie had me genuinely anxious all the way through, a true thriller. The slow but steady reveal was paced perfectly. So many movies ruin the tension by either giving things away too quick or too late, this however, kept me interested and on edge the whole time.
