  I was a little nervous to rewatch this because it was one of my favorites in high school and I did not want to contend with what that means as an adult. But it actually holds up for the most part - it’s charming, funny, and captures the feeling of being 22 pretty well.

  I thought this was going to be just another political drama, but it showed up on so many people’s best of 2024 list that I decided to give it a chance. It was pretty much exactly what I expected, but I still enjoyed it and was invested by 30 minutes in. Definitely a slow burn.

  I was going to give it a solid 4 starts until the last 15 minutes of the movie. It just didn’t stick the landing for me.
