  This really deserved half of a star for me, but I'll give it a generous bump for the cinematography and soundtrack. There were maybe a half-a-dozen stretches that were intriguing, but the rest of it was too far gone.

  God damn is this ever an amazing movie. So beautiful, so thrilling, so eerie. I’m happy I’ve waited so long to watch it because I’m able to recognize so many tropes that carry over to other iconic movies that I’ve seen throughout the years. I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed by a Kubrick movie, and I’m excited to keep watching his work.
