    A History of Violence

    ★★★½

A movie that wants to highlight the contradictions of a hypocritically violent America, which hides in everyday things, between sexual perversions and bullying at school, and in an episode of self-defense that will bring out more other violence.
The first part seems written by Dan Schneider (the one who wrote Zoey 101), while the more the protagonist returns to his past, the more interesting the story becomes.
An essential movie, at times of a vague and self-serving simplicity but which makes its simple story the medium of the important message.
P.s. Seeing Viggo Mortensen and Howard Shore together can easily bring tears into my eyes.

Raw, bloody, carnal, brilliant, smart: the best movie of the year (?).
Coralie Fargeat delivers us a Kubrick-Lynch - influenced piece of art, fresh and pop.
A body horror that tries to demonstrate how beauty must be sought in ourselves and that the best version of yourself is always yourself. In this sense, after viewing, it becomes a boost of self-esteem, but also an advertising to not judge, and above all not to do it on an aesthetic level.

Seen at the preview in Cinema Pop Up in Bologna.

    Timothée Chalamet: doing litterally nothing.
Javier Bardem: he's the chosen one!
