A very special documentary. What an amazing woman. Beautiful, raw and heartbreaking. For someone with limited knowledge of Q beyond the covers of Goodbye Horses (e.g Bloc Party’s Kele), this was a real journey. Prejudice, chance, hope, addiction, love, tragedy… it covers them all.
Feel like this is going to stick with me for a long time, and I’ll be delving into the soundtrack (and making sure the royalties go to the right place!).
Disappointing for me. Pam did amazing and the best she could it but really struggled to grab me in the way I’d hoped. Also left with travel sickness. Let me enjoy the shots!!! This isn’t cloverfield!!
Still unsure about what I think this. It feels like a 4, but I have so many questions and felt unsatisfied.
*revising this to a 3. Second half has too many plot and character issues, and feels very odd compared to the first. Visually stunning throughout, still.
