I was gonna go 4.5 but i can’t lie i really really loved this movie. As much as I love the way Jesse Eisenberg acts and gives line readings I’ve never seen him excel to this degree before. His voice is heard so much louder through his direction and writing than ever before. When he said his pain was “unexceptional” I really felt that and I think that’s one of the most powerful lines in a movie I can remember.…

In the clever words or word of Payton Nesci… Midferatu
This was basically a 2 hour compilation of “spooky snowy germany” with the occasional sex part. However we cannot and will not disregard the impact Willem Dafoe has on this movie it gets so much better once he is introduced. Also shoutout Lily Rose Depp, excited to see her in more stuff in the future.
I thought this was going to be scary. It was not scary. At all. Ok maybe one time when there was a slow pan but other than that no.
