The Settlers 2023
As brutal as it´s subject. The violence of the settlers gets depicted in a way that leaves the viewer no opening to slip through. No cynicism, no humour, no righteous revenge phantasies, just a bleak view into the abysses of civilisation. The Selk'nam, as civilisations imagined opposite only get depicted in a brief moment, not romanticised as noble savages, but simple, overwhelmed and overpowerd, oportunistic if given the chance. In short: human.

I'm Thinking of Ending Things 2020
Feels longer than it is, wich could be a good thing, since the Movies topic seems to be time and how it passes. While it kept me interested i was never really sure if it was well thought out or the movie equivalent of an overly motivated first semester philosophy student.
