Fantastic movie from a simple plot. It makes you wanna live to the fullest and fall in love. You leave the theater feeling like anything is possible. The movie shows that you don’t need special effects or big events to tell an interesting story as long as you create your own language.
Beautiful portrayal of the complex relationship between an early teenager and a lost young dad. The movie successfully shows the feeling of being inadequate as a parent. It also shows the confusion and loneliness that the child experiences because of it.
I loved the sequences where the camera doesn't focus on the person and instead it tries to focus on an object. The camera angle where Sophie is asking Callum about his life when he was 11 was particularly interesting.…
Dialog seems realistic enough for two 24 year-olds' conversation. Other than that I think the movie reflects financial, social and cultural struggles of being a 24 year old student. Exams, living alone, being constantly broke, dating and family problems are the challenges that we as 23-24 year olds face in modern society. Also, we are required to start our careers in this mess. I could relate to these things in the movie.
Theories about attraction and partner selection seemed interesting…
I found it deeply disturbing as it was advertised but frankly I didn't get much more than that. It didn't make me feel anything but disgust and tense. I didn't comprehend the point of any of the things that happen in the movie. Actors were generally harmonious with the spooky and crazy environment. However, there wasn't much of a script in my opinion.
