Where does one even start with this film? The 1977 Japanese film House (Hausu) may just be one of the most bizarre films I’ve ever seen. Originally commissioned by Toho as an answer to Jaws (in terms of creating an exciting blockbuster), the film was panned by the few critics who even bothered to review it on its initial release. Probably the most infuriating film nominated this year for the Oscars. Incident depicts police cowardice and incompetency as they try to cover up killing an innocent man, and then get away with it all without any legal reprecussions. This short is very effective in its presentation, showing not only the raw footage of the shooting but the cops running away scared and trying to justify and create a story around what they did. This should be mandatory viewing for anyone who continues to uncritically defend the police in instances of police brutality.

Successfully pulls of the impossible and gives a satisfying conclusion to over a decade's worth of films.

While not as cohesive as Infinity War, the film manages to remain engaging even at it's 3 hour runtime.
