Possibly The Greatest Short Film of All Time.
Where do I even start? From the acting to the cinematography to the color grading, there is not a single mistake made in this film. I’ll keep away from spoilers but the way that the writer evoked emotions from familial situations to newly prompted friendships makes you feel as if you ARE Maya Sullivan. The tunnel scene adds so much emotion and energy to the film as you really do not know what is coming next. Overall 20/10 and it is a much watch for this year. The Iron Claw 2023
Wow. I love A24 and every project they put out is enjoyable, but this is on another level. For starters, all of the actors and actresses were phenomenal, but Zac Efron blew my expectations. Not only is it easily his best performance by far, I see him getting an Oscar nomination, rivaling Cillian Murphy. The cinematography was spectacular, evoking the emotions and feel of every scene perfectly. The dialogue was also a great factor to the success of this movie. Overall, The Iron Claw is easily one of my favorite movies of 2023.
