Honestly some great casting was pulled off in this film, specifically Shaggy and Velma. Extremely nostalgic movie and I’d say it’s still a fun time if you’re not taking it serious (why would you).
To this day I will say Spooky Island being real would constitute a trip with the boys ASAP.

Velma: I know you. All you care about are swimsuit models.
Fred: Look, I'm a man of substance. Dorky chicks like you turn me on, too.

Peter Jackson did something absolutely incredible here, seeing this documentary in theatre was an experience I’ll never forget. Would love to see him make something in the same style except for WW2 one day.

You can say what you want about the Fast & Furious franchise, but Tokyo Drift stands out as a true gem. I love this fucking movie. It’s not just that the racing scenes are breathtaking - though they absolutely are, with real stunts and beautifully choreographed stunt driving that make the action feel visceral, grounded and truly like art in motion. It’s that the movie builds a surprisingly solid foundation of character and story beneath all the smoke.
