Before Sunrise 1995
what a genuinely stunning movie. it's so simple, just two people spending a day together. it's so simplistic, but I suppose that's what makes it a beautiful movie. there is beauty in mundanity. there's a reason why the scene I kept seeing on social media is the one in the listening booth where they keep staring at each other but one of them looks away when the other goes to stare. it's so mundane, so inconsequential, but I love it. I love how extraordinary the film makes out the utterly mundane.

everything able this film made me want to kill myself. the dialogue? bad. the acting? bad. the plot? bad. the very minimal special effects? omg there were so bad i didn't realise a very pivotal character had just died!
