100 years later is the only reasonable timeframe for a remake.
Overall a very strong film that got almost everything right. The pacing felt slightly off at times is my only criticism. Otherwise the stylistic choices, symbolism and foreshadowing, and respect for the source material really set a high bar for horror films in 2025. I couldn’t look away!
