I always thought I fully understood the idea of 'the meaning of life', it's such a commonly explored subject, and a subject I think about quite often. Yet i've never seen it be explored as it was in Ikiru, cause this isn't some backseat perspective of someone who does know the meaning of life (as it usually is), this is just as much about you, as it is Mr. Watanabe.
