Wowee. Just so many profoundly moving details here. Lived in, of course, but also more structured than the earlier films of Leigh. As far as I have seen, probably the quintessential Leigh film in that - while not necessarily my favourite - it feels the most refined and clearsighted. I do feel the climax tips a bit much into mellodrama for my tastes. Could watch Timothy Spall interact with his photography clients for hours.
